The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

It has been, astonishingly, almost 30 years since my graduation from Penn State University. The years I spent at Capitol Campus still bring back many fond memories. One of the most incredible incidents was the evacuation as a result of the Three Mile Island event. One of my dearest friends, at Penn State, was my companion during the time when we awaited confirmation we could resume our studies. Since graduation, I have been blessed with many unique & fulfilling business opportunities. These included 14 years in corporate marketing followed by a successful entrepreneurial venture in software development, management of a global business and running a Life Coach consulting firm. My happiest moments have come during my lifelong commitment to volunteerism. Beginning with Girl Scouts and the 4-H Club, I feel best when being of service to others. After serving on the boards of the American Heart Association, the L. A. County Commission for Women, NAWBO-LA and NOW-LA, I am now volunteering my time with a local non-profit organization. At the Fresh Start Women's Foundation, I am a workshop presenter for more than 5 courses, a Career Coach and Ambassador. In 2010, I hope to complete work on my first book. It focuses on what we learn from life-altering circumstances and the critical roles of grace, humility and humor in our ultimate survival.
